Abstract

|
Recent progresses in the treatment of Parkinson’s disease and other parkinsonian syndromes are summarized in this review. The continuing advent of new dopamine agonists and the establishment of deep brain stimulation make this field one of the most rapidly improving area in terms of patient care. In the last part of this review, a brief discussion about cell therapy and gene therapy will be added.
